All these images are nothing put dicking around with Photoshop, manipulating snaps I took almost always on a smartphone. I like them, as I like a lot of abstract stuff, whether images or music, but they have no meaning at all. They are just random images.
You might like them in some way or not. No explanations are necessary, quite apart even from being desirable, as an explanation implies ‘significance’ or ‘meaning’ of which there is none. They are just ‘stuff to be looked at’.
However, I’d like to point out (by way of explanation and I’ll get myself off that particular hook by claiming it’s not ‘explanation’ but merely ‘mild exposition’) that No 3 was a little bit different in that it was a snap I took walking back to work down Kensington High St., passed a shop which was being refitted.
It was just a small building site, and as often happens the glass windows had been covered in paint on the inside to make sure they were visible and to forestall any accidents. I liked what I saw and took a snap.
The difference is that I did less dicking around thatn I usually do. Apart from slightly cropping it and, I think, boosting the contrast and saturation a little, I’ve done nothing else to it.
